The big surprise was that KV622 only made it to number 6. There was a clear preference at the top towards the big Romantic concertos, although I suppose that would depend on whether you consider Beethoven Classical or Romantic. Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 came a somewhat surprising second, edging out both the Beethoven Violin Concerto and the Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1. The Elgar cello concerto came in at number 5.
The ultimate winner was the Emperor Concerto, which I don't mind, but it's not one of my personal favourites. Perhaps I just haven't played by the right person yet.
The other point of interest was the appearance of the Sean O'Boyle and William Barton Digderidu Concerto at No. 32. Also, Jean Sibelius has quite an alarming face.
