Ok, explanation ...The Heart Sutra gives the mantra for the perfection of wisdom (Prajnaparamita), which is "gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha". The "gate" means "gone", and so the first 4 words mean "gone, gone, gone beyond, completely gone beyond"... (Bodhi means enlightentment, and svaha is a general exclamation of cheer or applause)

...Oh dear. Looks like I'm in Buddhist Geek mode today. But I swear that's the first thing that came to mind when I read your post :-)

I'm also in "Press Send too soon" mode, it seems. I meant to add -- the prajnaparamita is all about the emptiness of everything. So he's really doing the right thing there, with both "no" and "gone"... :-)
