More Shell II

Liem asked for "shell" again last night, so tonight we had pacific oysters and steamed fish. It's somewhat mindboggling how people in this city will spend $12 on fast food for two when you can get a dozen fresh oysters for the same price.

This time, Liem wasn't so keen on the oysters (I grilled them with soya sauce, which was probably a mistake), but he ate a fair bit of the fish. He was still hungry at the end of it, so he had half an avocado with his fruit.

I also made aynathie's peperonata last night, and had it hot then and cold tonight. It's nice hot, but it's nicer cold, at least the way I made it.

Cold peperonata is also my preference, unless I'm using it as a pasta sauce.

For oysters, on the other hand, I prefer the direct approach: raw, with a squeeze of lemon/lime :-)

Yes, that's my preference too. And, by coincidence, that was also lunch for today. None for Mr Liem this time.
