I should probably be writing now, but my brain appears to have shut down for the year.
So far, burst writing while babysitting hasn't seemed to work. I need all the downtime I get just to recharge, leaving no time left for writing. It's funny how the story ideas seemed to build up while I was at work and then vanish as soon as I was supposedly free again.
I'm going to have to think carefully about how I'm going to divide my time next year. Writing in short snippets with the aid of heavy outlining didn't really work that well and reactivating the one hour slot after Liem's bedtime left me way too tired. My workload for next year is also going to be even heavier. I'm in a new role that will demand a lot more creativity (thank goodness!), but which will also take up more of my time.
It's been a good to great year in many ways, but there are still things I haven't managed to get working. Regular exercise, for one thing, and the fact that all I haven't managed to complete any of my writing projects.
In other news - Mozart 6, Beethoven 5. (I finally got Fürtwangler's Bayreuth Ninth.)
