khiemtran | Decision point

I've decided that I need to add a "regrouping" scene in between previously consecutive scenes, and it's looking suspiciously like a Bickham-style sequel. Previously, I was cutting straight from the unlikely escape from the occupied mansion to our heroes making an ill-advised attempt to travel incognito through a proto-Chinese kingdom (especially since neither of the characters is actually human). I think the sudden cut might have worked in a story that was framed around such cuts, but here it feels wrong. I'm going to try slowing things down a bit and focus for a while on the structure of their dilemma, rather than just their reaction to it.

In other news, I actually made some promising sounds on the flute tonight.
