khiemtran... the funny thing is, the Evil Overlord has a point.
If he defeats our heroes in this little sideshow to the real struggle between the states, it will doubtless usher in a new age of peace and prosperity. Oh, the first reign might not be so pleasant, and maybe not the second either. But, with an end to the fighting, trade will improve, the northern frontier can at last be properly defended, culture and the arts will flourish, monuments will be built, the dykes repaired. The resulting era will no doubt be of far more interest to future historians.
