Niggle Update Part 2

khiemtranI've got a possible solution for the niggle of The Village Of No Return now. It's not the most original solution (it comes in somewhere around Fourth Oldest Trick in the Book, but at least that's better than Second Oldest, which is what I was staring at). I'm still trying to decide if it's good enough, or if I need to keep working it at.
There is one way I can definitely make it more original, but it runs the risk of giving away too much too early. It might be better at this point to just go with the cliché I mean trope and let the originality come in other places. I need good bones for this story, better bones than it had before.
