Still on our holiday, we had a walk along the waterfront in Geelong last Wednesday...

As you can see, the sea and sky were amazing. A thin band of fog hid the seam between the two, and also concealed the other side of the bay, making it feel like we were staring into infinity.

Here you can see some of the far side coming into view as the fog began to clear.

Looking down, the water was also amazingly clear. A ten fingered starfish, anyone?

But the boys decided they'd much rather have pizza and mussels...

I bet they'd like to open oysters with powerful muscly arms, though.

I'm sure you could open a lot of oysters if you had ten arms...

Especially if I also had five oyster knives. :D

Liem ate so much pizza that trip, I'm surprised he didn't get sick of it. He did say he had had enough chips though.

Fabulous photos! I love it when you get those perfectly calm days when sea and sky merge, and boats seem to be floating through sky.

It was a very special morning! It would have been a great day for whale or dolphin spotting, because the sea was so calm.

A double-handed starfish :-)

What's the building in the infinity-sea shots? It seems almost like a farmhouse--in the bay.

It used to be a restaurant, but now it looks like it's some sort of function centre. For a while, they also used to use the pier as a public carpark for overflow parking from the city. Geelong used to be a major port for the wool trade and that pier was where they used to unload the ships.
