Sunday morning, and a gentle mist rolls down Forbes Creek.

Meanwhile, the Woronora is calm and still.

It's been wild and windy for most of the week. Why has the weather turned so calm all of a sudden?

Could it be the presence of the sacred kingfisher?

Sacred kingfisher, Woronora River

I was really glad to get a picture of it. They're usually very hard to capture. Of the three shots I got, this has the best angle, but is also the blurriest.

Sacred kingfisher, Woronora River

Heading back home, we see our friend, the white-bellied sea eagle, patrolling the river while being harassed by currawongs who'd quite like it to keep on moving thank you very much...

That sacred kingfisher really does look like a tiny god. And the mist on the river--I want to gather it up and spin it (... not that I know how to spin. But I'd learn.)

The cool thing about the mist was that it was moving quite fast - and silently of course, so it looked like a living thing gliding along the river.
