Halcyon days on the Woronora
Oct. 20th, 2014 06:59 amSunday morning, and a gentle mist rolls down Forbes Creek.

Meanwhile, the Woronora is calm and still.

It's been wild and windy for most of the week. Why has the weather turned so calm all of a sudden?

Could it be the presence of the sacred kingfisher?

I was really glad to get a picture of it. They're usually very hard to capture. Of the three shots I got, this has the best angle, but is also the blurriest.

Heading back home, we see our friend, the white-bellied sea eagle, patrolling the river while being harassed by currawongs who'd quite like it to keep on moving thank you very much...
