We're pretty sure now that this is a streaked shearwater, a seasonal migrant from Japan.

Did it catch anything? It was hard to tell. Here it is flying over the water after one of its dips. If it caught a fish, it must have eaten it while still in the water.

Yes, the wings were so long and thin, my first guess was that it was some sort of albatross. We watched it dive twice and it was amazing each time.
