Sunday on the Woronora

Sunday morning and the rain has cleared!




We're out for a paddle on the Woronora, enjoying the calm before the world starts waking up...



Liem fishing as we drift along. He got one big bite, which pulled the end of his rod into the water, then promptly got his reel tangled and that was that for fishing.



Heading upriver...



Imagine living in a house with a slide like this!

Just below it, you can see some sort of man-made structure. I've got no idea what it's there for.

Yes, it was nice to have a break from the rain. And a very pleasant way to start the morning, especially when we were drifting along listening to the bird calls. We also saw two different types of cormorant and a white faced heron.

It certainly gives you a different perspective, especially in a city like Sydney. When the tides change, it's almost like the city is breathing in and out. At yet, you could also live here your whole life and still believe that rivers simply flow towards the sea.

Oh I would *love* to have that slide. Slides into water, and rope swings over water: so much fun!

There are lots of rope swings too. Plus you also see a lot of kids out in boats out on the water, often fishing or just mucking around by themselves.
