A night at the opera...
Mar. 1st, 2006 08:17 pmVery nearly anyway...
An old uni friend was in town and he suggested we go to see The Magic Flute at (of course) the Sydney Opera House tonight. The first obstacle was that we failed to book before all but the A reserve tickets were sold out, at which point the exercise became 'A night out in Chinatown'. The second obstacle was that my wife fell ill by the afternoon and I had to come home from work to look after her and Liem, at which point the exercise became a night playing with my favourite (seven month old) soprano.
They're both in bed now, and hopefully sleeping well. And now, I've got a night listening through the headphones to the Sydney Symphony playing Mozart on the radio. A good night, in the end, after all.
