Three River Day

khiemtranCome with me on a tour of our part of Sydney, as defined by its saltwater estuaries. It will only take a day.To the south is the Hacking River, where we went fishing this morning.
Across the river, you can see the Royal National Park. That creek on the over side leads off to mysterious places.
If you like, you can fish with us. Liem lands a tiny bream (which went back, as usual).
To the north lies the Georges river, where I went sailing after breakfast.
Tacking between the moored yachts in Woolooware Bay, having a bit of sticky beak.
Got a spare bit of change for a new boat?
After lunch, it's off to the third river, the Woronora, which lies to our west.
Let's hire a canoe and paddle out to Cathedral Rock and the sandy beach below it.
The tide was is very low by now. You can see the marks on the rocks from the king tide last week.
After three rivers in one day, why not relax in the boat shed cafe with your favourite drink?

Date: 2014-01-12 06:53 pm (UTC)He was especially happy to catch even that tiny fish because there was another father and two sons fishing at the same spot and the bigger of the two sons, a boy about Liem's age, had caught a little bream like that while we hadn't caught anything.
