Sydney's good weather continues, although the wind picked up during the day to twenty knots. We went for a walk alongside the mansions at Lilli Pilli Point Reserve.

Lots of people out enjoying the water, albeit noisily. Sailing boats seem to be sadly out of fashion these days.

The path, meanwhile, was nice and shady.

Here you can see where trees have been attacked (most likely someone's attempt to improve their view or their real estate value) and the council has put up a banner as a form of punishment.

The Hacking River today is a gem-like turquoise.

Down by the waterline. In the background, across the river, you can see the Royal National Park, claimed to be the second oldest national park in the world (the first being Yellowstone).

Yes, I love that sea green colour. It must be worth a lot to have a house looking down on a view that like, but I guess it costs a lot too...

I love the "Vandalism to trees" banner. If they were trying to improve their view, that's a very effective punishment, because it's a total eyesore.

Yes, in other places in Sydney, they've actually built wooden pyramid-like structures to mimic the volume of the tree. It's a shame this sort of thing is necessary though.

The water is so beautiful in all its colors, and with the sun sparkling on it in the first photo. What fun it must be to play around in those little pools in the bottom photo, too--I love all the hollows and crevices in the rocks!

Yes, it's a great little place to play. I think it would be nice to explore what's on the other bank some day, but that may require a boat to access.
