Bak Kut Teh at Heng Kee
Oct. 23rd, 2013 07:34 pmBack to some photos from Malaysia now, and we're at Heng Kee for some Bak Kut Teh (tea-cooked pork ribs) after returning to Kuala Lumpur.

First order of business: find an empty table!

Their specialty is bak kut teh: pork ribs cooked in a herbal "tea".

Besides the ribs, you can also have pork belly...

Tender shiitake mushrooms...

And spongy tofu...

The broth is wonderful. To soak it up, get some yu char kway and dunk it into your bowl.

And don't forget, with all this rich food, to add a plate of vegies...
