A Calm Day on Botany Bay...
Sep. 1st, 2013 04:42 pm
It's the first day of Spring, and the winds are light and shifty on the bay...
I had an inkling it would be like this when I went fishing with Liem at Como - and this is what greeted us...

You might notice I'm in a different dinghy from before. This is a Pacer, a bit smaller than the Envy I had last week and, crucially, easier to climb back into after a capsize.

Not that I have any intention of capsizing on a day like this...

I'm starting to get more pictures of the other watercraft now.

Including this blurred shot of the little one-man hovercraft.

The view from the St George Sailing Club. Those flags actually flipped around several times during the day. While we were de-rigging, a funeral party also came by to scatter a long-time club member's ashes over the sea.

The best part is: now that I can tack and gybe with confidence, Liem can come along for the next lesson!
