Magic dawn...
Aug. 10th, 2013 06:06 pmIt was an absolutely stunning dawn at Cronulla this morning. The sea was blue tending to purple, just before the sunrise. The horizon was a burnt orange and the upper sky a pale blue. The surf was textured and angry, yet the ocean pools were as smooth as mirrors, reflecting the pale sky flawlessly, including the planes in the distance already catching the morning sun even though it hadn't quite risen for those on the ground.
I was halfway through my morning run and I didn't have a camera with me, but I had to stop and contemplate the scene. I guess I'll have to learn to predict when it's going to be like this - a westerly breeze and a clear sky seem to be the main factors. If I can tell in advance it was going to like this, I'd skip the run and drive down with my DSLR and tripod.
