It has come to my attention that the style of jeans known as "hipsters" have become very popular of late, to the extent that it is now difficult to buy jeans that extend above the hips in altitude. Unfortunately, I have some very grave news that I am sure will be of interest to the wearers and manufacturers of such jeans.

Many observers have noted a marked increase in the number of times people's undergarments or indeed the upper portion of their posteriors are exposed in public. Based on my experience in wearing the new jeans (due to the unavailability of the older kind), it is now my belief that these two phenomena are in fact positively correlated. I am not entirely clear on why this relationship has not been noticed before, but I am hopeful that, now that this has been pointed out, appropriate action will now be taken.

The healing angel has some stylish underwear that I swear he wears because it shows when his slouchy jeans slouch down. He swears not, though...

:) I've since been (repeatedly) informed that people were already aware of the correlation that I had observed. To which I reply: "Then why are you still doing it?"

At some point in the future, when my weight is somewhat less than at present I shall be treating myself to some decent jeans. Because I seriously dislike the 'fashionable' styles, I shall be treating myself to some serous cowboy denim from the same place I get my cowboy boots - Boot Barn in the US. The shipping cost just about balances out the saving in buying in USD but they have a wide range of my preferred brand - Wrangler. ;)

I used to always buy the exact same pair of jeans from the same shop, so I was delighted when, the last time I tried, I found there were on sale for just $20 a pair. I was less delighted when I found out the reason why - "Oh yes, they're being discontinued". Their replacements were hipsters, of course.
