Winter in the city...

A cold winter's day in Sydney, but at least the sun is out. An excellent time for a trip to the city...
In some ways, winter is Sydney's most photogenic season.

The sandstone buildings glow in the winter light...

While the indoor spaces are warm and friendly.

We saw this Lamborghini on our way to Books Kinokuniya.

And then these workmen putting up this giant sign across the side of the Queen Victoria Building.

Here's a close-up of one of the climbers.

Next, it was off to Chinatown, where we saw this shop with its windows covered with chemical symbols. Or is there a subliminal message there?

Perhaps the new shop will specialize in Nitro cuisine ala Heston Blumenthal... (Or maybe it's a Nitrogen bar... Oxygen bars are so passé.)

Then on to Nonya for lunch. This is the view through the main window.

Char kway tiau for me...

Hainanese Chicken Rice for HL...

And the usual Malaysian fried rice for Liem...

The fried rice is not very interesting compared with the latest Pokémon manga, apparently.

The food at Nonya was excellent once again, even by Malaysian standards. Although, interestingly, we haven't tried any of the distinctly Nyonya dishes yet.
After some more shopping, it was back home before the winter cold set in, and then a quick dash out to Sushi Train for dinner.

And, finally, a game of Battleship! (Liem just glanced across at the screen while I was posting this and nearly grabbed some intel on the location of Mummy's ships...)
