Bella Cibo...

So, we went out last night to a Italian restaurant, only to find a sign announcing that a new name had been chosen as a result of a contest, and that it would be known as "Bella Cibo" from now on. Except, surely that's a gender mismatch isn't it?

Yes, that definitely is.
'Beautiful food' is bel cibo in Italian.

Indeed, just like I didn't yesterday at the supermarket when I pointed out that 'carne di halal' made it sound like halal was an animal, rather than the word for 'ok for consumption by observant muslims'.

The guy I spoke to didn't understand the point at all.
