Hard, but simple...

At its core, it's all about putting a narrow stream of air, at different forces and angles, against a tiny target area. Vary the angle, you vary the sound. Find a sound you like, learn to repeat it, try to improve it. There's a huge amount of complexity behind it all - embouchures, and tonguing, and use of consonants and vowels and several lifetimes worth of conflicting theory and technique... but in the end, there's still that narrow stream of air that needs to hit the target area, at just the right speed and just the right angle.
Writing is like that too. You can make it as complex as you like, but, at its heart, there's still a simple test. Is it interesting? Is it something that people want to read?
Music is like that too, and, in particular, Mozart is like that. For all the invention and the witty writing and the dramatic expression, it wouldn't be the same if it wasn't also pleasant to listen to. (In fact, it would probably be like the classical music they write nowadays...)
