The First Day of Chinese New Year is a time for prayers and offerings for Chinese families...

Some of the fruit. After the offering, the fruit can be eaten.







A banner over the doorway for good luck (this went up the night before)...



After the prayers, it's time for visiting. In our case, a long drive down to Malacca.



Just a bit wet on the drive home...
