Lunch at Siu Siu...

Siu Siu at Robson Heights is a great place to go for crab rice. Just the place for rest after a morning spent trekking around in search of orchids and kancils.

When we got there, their highly-rated char siu was already sold out. But they did have marmite pai kuat (pork ribs cooked in a marmite sauce).

One of the fun things about Malaysia (especially when Ah Gong is around) is the way you can still find sales people with a good "patter". Our waiter did his best to persuade us that all the food would be delicious and certainly suitable for Liem. "This one just comes with green chillies on top. It will be very easy to pick them out!" We decided not to take him up on that one...
By the way, those are cili padi ("paddy" chillies) in the dish at the front. Liem wasn't at all impressed by my attempt to tell him that they were green beans, even after I ate one to make sure.
But the highlight of the meal was the crab rice...

The conversation fell quiet after this. So sweet! So tasty! Crab-in-the-shell is like an edible sudoku. A test for the hand and brain.
