Running update
Dec. 12th, 2011 06:57 amRan 7.5 km in just over forty minutes on Sunday morning. Felt pretty good after it too, so I'm pretty sure I could have done another circuit and made it to 9 km. I think I'll leave that till next weekend.
It was also pleasing that I'm starting to feel the kick-in-the-pants as the glutes kick in - part of this new technique is that the drive comes from the glutes and thighs, not the lower leg.
Interestingly, my speed around this little circuit was just under a four hour marathon pace. So, all I have to do now is keep going and going! (On the other hand, it also means a real marathoner would probably overtake me even if I started 7 kms from the finish line...)
