Helsinki, Part 2
Aug. 16th, 2011 06:53 pmMore Helsinki photos, this time from the water...

The ferry I took had a wedding party on board, apparently for photos at Suomenlinna. Some of the party were already mildly drunk, but at least it was a happy drunk and we cruised around the harbour to an unexpected backing track of Finnish techno.

Lots of islands. Big...

And small...

Just about everything higher than high tide had a building on it. Finns, as you might have gathered, like to be alone.

The giant golf tee in the last photo is apparently the water tower at Roihuvuori. I took a picture of it, because it looked like some sort of enormous futuristic building from that distance.
Lots of boats too, both little...

And huge!

But mostly huge...
