So, Finland...



For some reason, all the really great photos I remember taking seem to have been replaced by dodgy ones. I guess I must have been a lot more tired than I thought. Actually, I probably was as tired as I thought. This set is just from my camera phone, so I hope you can excuse the quality.

Anyway, Finland was great. It turns out that the countryside is only actively trying to kill you for around half a year, and outside that it's quite pleasant.



Warm beaches... (Those are kids in the water, not ducks. I had to delete an earlier version from a better angle after I spotted a topless sunbather near the bottom of the frame.)


Green forests...


And pleasure craft everywhere. Keep an eye out for that giant yacht in the background later. It's not what you might think.

Brilliant photos. I must admit that when I think of Finland, I usually think of snow. (I like snow.) It's great to see the greenery and sunshine.

Yes, we've just a cold snap here in Sydney and it's absolutely freezing[1]. It's not often you find yourself wishing you could be in Finland so you can be warm...
