Giant lizard egg in Puget Sound...

Another talking point while we were in Seattle was the mystery object in this picture, a giant dome on what appeared to be an ocean-going platform.


One story went that it was owned by Boeing and used for some sort of (presumably sensitive) research project. Another (which I obtained from "some guy" I met while taking this photograph) was that it was a kind of oil rig and that it had been seen on tv "scooting across the ocean".

I'm more inclined to believe the Boeing story, but that still leaves the question of just what is under that dome...

It belongs to the U. S. Government and is such a 'secret' thing, that you could get killed, trying to get close to it. :)
