And by day, the view from the top of the Lotte Hotel (no, I didn't stay there).

One of the great things about Seoul is the sheer variety on offer. It's only a short walking distance between the old...


And the new...

The food court under the Lotte store on the right, by the way, smelled absolutely amazing. They take their food seriously over there.

Not to mention the rebuilt "old"...

The South Gate of Gyeongbokgung palace, which is being gradually rebuilt and restored yet again, with the last round of destruction happening in the Korean War.
