Home again
Sep. 6th, 2010 05:11 pmHome again. Jetlagged as expected, my leg is still a bit sore, but I managed almost a full day at work today.
Why?
Because this time, I was lucky enough to get a points upgrade...
I've often said that whenever people complain about flying, they're really complaining about the price rather than the product. Sure, it's usually a cramped, painful, joyless, dehumanizing, psychologically draining experience ... in economy class, but I have to say that business class is quite alright. Now if I could just persuade the airlines to delete the lowest tier altogether and rename 'first' to 'business' and 'business' to 'economy'...
Actually, I'm still surprised no-one has managed to make a flat bed configuration work for economy yet. The food, the service, the wine are all nice, but it's the flat bed that makes it all worth it. I work gladly swap an economy seat for the worst pitching bunk in a tramp steamer, if it meant I could at least I could get some painfree sleep.
