I've been staying in a little holiday camp style cabin which seems to have come out of an ikea catalogue. Lots of practical Scandinavian design features, cheap pinewood everywhere and a determined attitude to doing the most with a minimum of space. On the downside, this also involves sleeping in a loft accessed by steep wooden ladder. An elegant solution to maximising the living space available, but not so great if you need to get up (and then down) several times in the night due to jetlag. Luckily, the pine ladder comes with extra creaking sound effects as I grip it which helps to focus my mind nicely on the way down.
