This park seems to be implementing a three field tillage system for conserving the grass. Note how all the sunbathers are in just one paddock.

In the same park, we saw a lot of firefighters conducting some sort of contest or exercise.

This troop were waiting patiently in the shade, until the time came for them to enter the arena (I assume it wasn't a firehose deathmatch, although that would have been fun to watch).
Here they are jogging into position earlier, chanting "Ich' Ni, Ich' Ni..." ("One Two, One Two...)

Of course, space is still at a premium in Tokyo. Some buildings are narrow...
