So far, I have a big pot of meat sauce, a small saucepan of Bechamel and eight sheets of instant pasta. I have no idea how it's going to work when I all combine it together, but the sauce looks suspiciously runny at the moment...

This is where packet soups come in handy.

I've never found runny sauce to be a problem. If you use the no-cook lasagne pasta, it usually sort of absorbs it and the overall consistency is fine.
