Transparency
Jan. 18th, 2010 09:39 pmMy room in the Sheraton has a big glass window between the bedroom and the bathroom, so you can enjoy an ocean view while brushing your teeth. Thanks to a transparent shower screen, you could also conceivably shower with an ocean view, although if you were having a bath instead, you would need to stand up in the tub to see out.
I thought they were taking things a bit too far when I saw that the toilet door was also fully transparent, which, to my mind, kind of defeats the purpose of having a door there (you can close various blinds to the bathroom for a bit of privacy).
Today, though, I discovered that the washrooms outside the meeting rooms also have full length glass windows with a promenade outside. Not quite what you expect to see when you're standing at a urinal. I'd post a photo, but I'm not sure that using a camera in a men's washroom is entirely the done thing...
