I say this because I had my first swim of the year yesterday and I didn't manage to swim even once last year. Last year did involve a lot of splashing and wading at the beach, of course, but most of that involved supervising Liem. Yesterday was my first chance to reach stretch out for some proper strokes and, boy am I out of practice. I'd forgotten too how much I love the feeling of moving through the water, even though there was precious little grace involved yesterday.
In other news, Borders had a 40% off sale yesterday if you bought three or more books, so I finally picked up the LP Egyptian Arabic phrasebook. That makes twenty phrasebooks on my shelf now (although one is currently farmed out on active duty). Yes, I know this has gone a bit beyond any sane rationalization at this point. Too bad the Scandinavian combo phrasebook wasn't there or I would have grabbed that too (that, at least, I can claim a practical use for).
