The Return of Juna the Swordsman

Still haven't decided whether to send out the Solitary Goose story or file it away. In the meantime, I've typed up a 2000 word short based on an old idea I posted to rasfc, about a swordsman whose job is to represent his city state in ritual contests. It's a lot less ambitious than the Solitary Goose story, and therefore well within my comfort zone. Also, it's nice to be back in tight third and past tense again.

One day, I might still complete the novel that the story idea was supposed to turn into, but it will probably be radically different from the short that sprouted from the same seed.
