I've got a new idea for how I might be able show a large chunk of backstory in just a few short scenes. Not sure if it will work yet. It might also mean some major ramifications for the rest of the WIR, which may or may not rule it out, depending on how I'm feeling. I'm going to spend some time chasing it down to see what comes out of it. If it doesn't work, at least I'll have learnt something...
