Plugging away...

khiemtranI've been grinding my slowly through the rewrite of Chapter Two. With a bit of luck I'll have it done by the end of the weekend, but there's still a long way to go.
I'm really in "want it done" mode with the Silver Bowl now. I'd like to think I could wrap it up with just a more changes, but I drew up a mental list yesterday and there's still a lot to be done. At this rate, I'm still looking at months before I've got another full completed version.
One thing that is happening is that I've been going through my list of potential changes and culling a lot of them. This is a good sign, I think. The next change to think about will be whether to add in some extra action scenes at points where the characters do a lot of observing, but not doing. It seemed like an obvious and needed change a month ago, but I'm not so sure now. One thing about taking a long time over revision is that you come up with a lot of different fixes for problems and sometimes you end up with more fixes than you need, or fixes that work against each other.
Anyway, back to Chapter Two...
