First Loss
Aug. 24th, 2008 04:14 pmLiem lost his "kangaroo" shoulder bag today somewhere at Miranda Fair. I retraced our steps and asked at each of the stores we visited, and left my contact details at the information desk, but so far there's been no sign of it. Our only hope is that someone has collected it already, but hasn't turned it in yet.
The loss hasn't really soaked in for Liem yet. At first he was still convinced that the bag was still lying on the "table" (a bench in the foodcourt) where he thought he left it. But I checked there and it wasn't there, and neither had the foodcourt cleaners noticed it. Then, on the drive home, he came up with a solution. Maybe Mummy and Daddy could buy a new one. Unfortunately, this was quite a special bag which came from friends in Japan.
Mummy and Daddy are quite sad about this, but Liem is still perky. I wonder if he really knows what it means yet, to lose something irreplaceable.
