World's Top 10 Airlines

1. Singapore Airlines
2. Cathay Pacific
3. Qantas
4. Thai Airways
5. Asiana Airlines
6. Malaysia Airlines
7. Qatar Airways
8. Air New Zealand
9. Emirates
10. Etihad Airways
Singapore and Cathay being up there is no surprise, but it is interesting how many of the top 10 were Asian airlines (or Asia-Pacific, in the case of Qantas and Air New Zealand), especially considering Skytrax is a UK-based company. BA got best transatlantic airline, which is probably because none of the top ten would be flying that route.
I'm surprised the Thai Airways got as high as number 4. When I flew them to Bangkok, their planes were quite old and the inflight entertainment primitive, but at least the cabin crew were friendly and the food was good.
