Music and Writing...

I'm starting to concede now that I don't write well with music on in the background. This is something of a shame, because I've really been enjoying discovering Mozart's chamber music lately, but the results speak for themselves. It looks like listening to complex music scratches the same itch that writing does.
I'm also aware that my best writing happens in the second hour, and I haven't managed to write for more than an hour in a long time. This suggests that the best time to write might be in the evenings, after Liem has been put to bed.
In other news, I've started getting a new story that might just supplant the City By The River story. I'm going to try not outlining anything yet, to see if it stays fresh in my head.
