khiemtranAt work yesterday, we were discussing 99% cacao chocolate, and so today I brought in a block of Leyseiffer for a group tasting.
I don't think anyone was converted, but it was amusing to see the facial expressions.
I remember reading an article once about one of the founders of Vittoria coffee, where he mentioned trying to introduce espresso coffee to the Australia of the 50s, including giving tastings at supermarkets and leaving little old ladies clutching at their throats as though they'd been poisoned. This was not far off that.
Ah, well. At least they tried it, I guess.
