I've ordered the Brilliant Classics Beethoven Edition from mokm.de.
The rival Cascade set was a lot cheaper, but in the end I couldn't go past Grumiaux, Haskil, Brendel and Gulda. The Grumiaux/Haskil sonata cycle was on my must-have list anyway, not to mention the Brendel bagatelles. The only disappointment is that they didn't include the symphony cycle with the Staatskapelle Dresden that they had on their Masterworks series. The 15 bonus historical recordings are also of interest. They've included Furtwangler's famous Bayreuth Ninth (which I already have from EMI anyway), and recordings by David Oistrakh and Arthur Schnabel.
