Stumbling towards the finish line...

Five more working days to go. I know the year's not over yet, but I just about am. This has been an incredible year, and I'm completely exhausted. Five more days...

It's seems difficult to believe so much happened in just one year. Orangutans in Sarawak. Tea in Xiamen. Palaces in Vienna. Chasing cats and foxes in Kyoto. Work has also been incredibly intense; I feel a bit like Frank Savage at the end of Twelve O'Clock High.

I ran 14 km yesterday on what is now my regular "short" weekend run for when I don't have time for something longer. Coincidentally, 14 km was actually my goal distance at the start of the year. It was a mostly smooth run, but I hit the wall right at the end and today I'm aching all over. Just how I'm feeling as I hit the end of the year.
